Located on the relatively warm Kenai Peninsula, the Alaska Airpark is central to the best splendor of Alaska. Lake Clark Pass accessing Western Alaska and the Alaska Penninsula is just over the Cook Inlet to the west, Prince William Sound and the Wrangell Mountains are to the east, and Kenai Fiords National Park is really close to the south. The Skilak Glacier is just 19 air miles away.

Locally, Alaska Airpark is one mile west of the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. Spectacular hiking country and trails are located starting 20 miles away in the Kenai Mountains. The Kenai and Moose Rivers intersect nearby in Sterling and numerous fishing opportunities abound. Bing’s Landing, on the Kenai River, is about a 5 minute drive from the Alaska Airpark.

Also, the Alaska Airpark is conveniently located approximately 20 miles from Safeway and Fred Meyer in Soldotna, and 30 miles from the WalMart, Home Depot and Lowes in Kenai.

The airpark fronts Adkins Road which is located on the north side of the Sterling Highway at mile marker 77. Look for the Yellow sign announcing the Alaska Airpark as you drive from the mountains west into Sterling.
